Workshop: making a dandelion in 1:12 scale / Workshop paardenbloem maken in schaal 1:12

 

 I wanted to add some dandelions to my little shop, and now I’ve made them

 

 Ik wilde graag wat paardenbloemen bij mijn winkeltje en die heb ik nu gemaakt

 

 

I had a workshop without any photos and couldn’t quite follow the instructions, 

so I decided to make my own version instead

 

Ik had een workshop zonder foto`s en kwam niet goed uit de beschrijving

 

dus heb ik er maar mijn eigen versie van gemaakt

 

 You’ll need:

• Embroidery floss in four different shades of yellow

• Wire

• Florist’s tape

• Glue

• Scissors

• Paper

• Pin

• Green paint

• Round-nose pliers

   

Je hebt nodig:

 

Borduurzijde in 4 verschillende tinten geel

IJzerdraad

Bloemistentape

Lijm

Schaar

Papier

Speld

Groene verf

Kochertang

 

 Separate each color of embroidery floss into two sets of three strands

Lay 10 strands in different shades of yellow next to each other

 

Splits ieder kleur draad borduurzijde in 2x3 draadjes

 Leg 10 draadjes met verschillende kleuren geel naast elkaar

 Cut a 10 cm piece of wire, fold it in half, and hold it with the round-nose pliers

 

Knip 10 cm draad af, vouw dit dubbel en hou het vast met de kochertang

 Wrap a single strand around the threads and tie several knots in it

 

Draai een enkel draadje om de draden en leg hier meerdere knopen in

 

 When that’s done, glue a piece of wire into the folded section and let it

 

dry well while held in the round-nose pliers

 

 

Als dit klaar is lijm je een stukje ijzerdraad in het dubbele gedeelte en

 

laat dit goed drogen in de kochertang

 

Then apply glue all around the outside and flatten it as much as possible

 

Daarna smeer je ook lijm rondom  aan de buitenkant en maakt

 

het zo plat mogelijk

 

Wrap the florist’s tape around the wire and press it down firmly 

Draai de bloemistentape om het ijzerdraadje heen en knijpt dit stevig aan

 

Trim the yellow threads to the desired length and carefully separate the strands with a pin

 

Knip de gele draden op de juiste lengte af en haal met een speld

 

voorzichtig de draadjes uit elkaar

 

Draw the leaves, cut them out, and paint them

You can also touch up the stems with a bit of paint if needed

 

Teken de blaadjes, knip ze uit en verf ze

 

Werk eventueel de stelen nog wat bij met verf

Glue the lower leaves together, then attach the dandelions on top

 

Lijm de onderste blaadjes op elkaar en lijm daar de paardenbloemen op
