II have transformed the new linen cupboard in my dollhouse / Ik heb de nieuwe linnenkast van mijn poppenhuis veranderd

I bought the linen cupboard in a dollhouse shop,

but it wasn’t quite to my liking

I “pimped” this cupboard for the sewing room. I painted it,

but you can still see the wood underneath

De linnenkast heb ik gekocht in een poppenhuiswinkel

maar hij was niet helemaal naar mijn zin

 

Deze kast heb ik "gepimpt" voor de naaikamer

Ik hem hem geschilderd maar het hout zie je nog wel

I glued a small hook to the side of the cupboard

On it hangs the little slip I made

 

Ik heb een haakje aan de zijkant van de kast gelijmd

Hier hangt het onderjurkje aan dat ik heb gemaakt

I lined the inside of the doors with fabric and added lace to the shelves

The bolts of fabric were made by wrapping a piece

of fabric around a small piece of cardboard

The little bundles of sheets were made from pieces of satin,

tied together with a tiny ribbon

 

 De deuren heb ik aan de binnenkant beplakt met
stof en de planken voorzien van een kantje

De balen stof heb ik gemaakt van een stukje stof
dat ik om een kartonnetje heb gewikkeld

De lakenpakketjes heb ik gemaakt van stukjes glanszijde
en daar een lintje omheen gebonden

On the bottom shelf, there is a little tin of Christmas balls

with “Christmas 1975” written on the lid

 

 Op de onderste plank staat een blikje met kerstballen met Kerst 1975 op het deksel

That was an important year for me, and I like the idea

of incorporating little details like this into a dollhouse

 

 Dat was voor mij een belangrijk jaar en ik vind het leuk 

om dit soort details straks in een poppenhuis te verwerken
