Took an online workshop by Von de Boer to make a
birth announcement board and stork pole
I really enjoyed this workshop, because when my granddaughter was born,
we had the exact same “beschuit” hanging on the door
I made the little scene out of cardboard
I downloaded the wall and gravel textures and resized them to fit
Downloaded an image "Romy is born" and hung it next to the door.
Cut a circle out of a cork coaster and painted it white
If you don’t have muisjes (anise sprinkles), you can also use small beads instead
In the Netherlands, it’s a tradition to serve beschuit met muisjes
(rusk with anise sprinkles) to visitors after a baby is born
Pink for girls and blue for boys
Glued a little ribbon onto the door
Painted a coffee stir stick pink
Downloaded images, resized them, glued them onto cardboard, and cut them out
Glued them onto the pole along with a flamingo
Put clay in a pot, spread glue on top, sprinkled coffee over it,
added some flowers, and placed the pole in it
