Crafted some miniatures for the Christmas stall in 1:12 scale / Geknutseld voor de kerstkraam schaal 1:12

In the Christmas boxes, I made tiny “baubles” and a fan, 

and in the two smaller boxes, I placed miniature Christmas cards

In de kerst doosjes heb ik "kerstballen" en een waaier gemaakt

en voor de twee kleine doosjes kerstkaarten

From the greenery I trimmed while making the Christmas tree, 

I made a Christmas wreath

Van het groen dat ik heb afgeknipt bij het maken van de 

kerstboom heb ik een kerstkrans gemaakt

And I made a luxury set of writing paper and envelopes for Christmas

En een luxe set schrijfpapier en enveloppen voor de kerst gemaakt

Through a Facebook group for miniaturists, 

I got in touch with a woman who lives nearby

Last week, we met for the first time, and she gave

me these beautiful miniatures

I was really surprised by all these lovely gifts!

The table lamp with the newspaper holder is a 1950s lamp,

 just like the one my grandmother used to have

And the Douwe Egberts wall coffee grinder is the 

same kind we had hanging in our kitchen at home

Via een Facebookgroep voor miniaturisten heb ik contact gekregen

met een vrouw die dichtbij woont

Afgelopen week hebben we elkaar voor het eerst ontmoet en

kreeg ik deze prachtige miniaturen van haar

Ik werd erg verrast door al dat moois 

De schemerlamp met krantenbak is een jaren 50 lamp

die mijn oma vroeger ook had

De Douwe Egberts wandkoffiemolen hadden wij

thuis in de keuken hangen

She made the little bowls herself from plaster, and I’ve 

already placed a poinsettia in one of them

De schaaltjes had ze zelf van gips gemaakt en in 1 

heb ik inmiddels een kerstster gemaakt

I also received some crafting materials

It’s so nice that, thanks to the internet, you can 

meet new people who share the same hobby

Ook kreeg ik nog wat knutsel materiaal

Toch leuk dat je dankzij internet weer nieuwe mensen kunt

ontmoeten met dezelfde hobby

For the Christmas stall that I’ll be making in October with Sylvia de Groot,

 I’ve already started crafting some decorations

I had won three Christmas workshops from Silly Sisters,

so that worked out perfectly

Now I only have to make the Christmas tree! 🎄

Voor de kerstkraam, die ik in oktober bij Sylvia de Groot ga maken,

ben ik nu alvast aan het knutselen

Bij Silly Sisters had ik 3 kerstworkshops gewonnen dus dat kwam goed uit

Ik moet nu alleen de kerstboom nog maken

I spread glue in a small container, added air-drying clay,

sprinkled coffee grounds on top,

and then pressed the flowers and leaves into the clay

Lijm in een bakje gesmeerd, daar zelf drogende klein in gedaan,

koffie bovenop gestrooid en bloemen en bladeren in de klei gedrukt

Made a Shadow Box as a Baby Gift / Kijkkastje als kraamcadeautje gemaakt

I made this shadow box for my soon-to-be grandson

The theme of his room is wild animals

His mother loves the color green, so I painted the sides green and added

green planks on the floor, which match nicely with the animal-filled background

I hung two posters with fitting quotes and added

a small shelf with linens and baby shoes

Ik heb dit kijkkastje voor mijn a.s. kleinzoon gemaakt

Het thema op zijn kamertje is wilde dieren

Zijn moeder houd erg van de kleur groen dus heb ik de zijkanten

groen geschilderd en groene planken op de vloer gelegd wat mooi past

bij de achtergrond vol met beesten

Twee posters opgehangen met toepasselijke teksten

en een plankje met linnengoed en schoentjes
