neus meer hebben

The maids can now clean the windows much faster,

thanks to their very own little hand pump

Simply place it in a bucket of water,

and with a pull of the wooden handle, the water is drawn up

into the hollow tube and ready for some tiny window-washing magic!

De ramenspuit moet je  in een emmer water zetten en 

 

met het houten handvat trek je het water in de holle buis

When the handle is pressed down firmly, a stream of water

shoots up onto the windows, making the maids’ work a little easier

Fun fact: the earliest known mention of a hand pump

dates all the way back to March 8, 1859!

Als het handvat krachtig naar beneden wordt 

 

geduwd spuit het water omhoog op de ramen

De oudst bekende vermelding van het gebruik van
