You can resize them, glue them onto cardboard, and then coat them
with a clear varnish — that way, you’ll have “real enamel signs.”
I was cleaning out my craft cupboard when I
came across this cute 1:48 scale dollhouse
I had completely forgotten that I’d received it as a gift years ago,
and as soon as I saw it, I felt like putting it together,
so the cleaning didn’t happen after all!
Unfortunately, there were no instructions included in the box
The wood was very soft and broke easily
I had painted it before assembling, which in hindsight wasn’t a good idea
It made everything harder to fit together, and the little house
didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted
It’s now sitting on top of the coat rack, and luckily from there,
you can’t really see that it’s not entirely perfect
The Christmas Stall Workshop is held in IJsselstein, at “In het Poppenhuis”
Dates: October 3, 10, and 17, 2019
Cost: €65 — including coffee, tea, and lunch
During the workshop, you’ll build the stall and make five mini projects:
the skis, skates, holly, Christmas stockings, and the black lantern
Everything comes with clear instructions, so you can easily finish it at home if you like

I made a spoon rack “Anno 1900”
In the early 1900s, spoon racks were made of copper and brass,
and now mine perfectly matches my miniature pans
I made the rack from cardboard, a tea light cup, jewelry glue,
and paint in copper and brass colors

For my toy shop, I made a small display box out
of cardboard with a winter scene
In the attic stands the box bed for the maid
I made a spider web on it, but unfortunately,
I haven’t managed to make a little spider yet
