The kitchen cabinet, 1:12 scale for the dollhouse, is finished De keukenkast schaal 1:12 voor het poppenhuis is klaar

This cabinet is actually sold as a library cabinet for the dollhouse, 

but I liked it better for the kitchen

When I bought it, it was made of untreated wood

Deze kast wordt eigenlijk verkocht als bibliotheekkast voor 

 

het poppenhuis maar ik vond hem leuker voor in de keuken

Hij was van onbehandeld hout toen ik hem kocht

I treated it three times with antique stain in “old pine.”

After that, I finished it with a satin varnish

The handles and knobs looked too new, so I painted them in “old gold”

Ik heb hem drie keer met antiekbeits “oud grenen” behandeld

Daarna heb ik hem met zijdeglansvernis afgelakt

De handgreepjes en knopjes vond ik er te nieuw uitzien

 

en heb ik geschilderd met de kleur “oud goud”

I typed “French tile panel” into Google, saved a photo, 

and resized it to the correct dimensions

Then I printed it, cut it out, and varnished it

Ik heb op Google Frans tegeltableau ingetikt, foto 

 

opgeslagen en verkleind tot de juiste maat

Daarna geprint, uitgeknipt en gelakt

I could hardly wait for the varnish to dry so  

I could start arranging the cabinet

Ik kon bijna niet wachten tot de vernis droog was

 

 om de kast in te kunnen richten

Once dry, I glued the tile panel onto the cabinet and added 

a trim along the shelves

After that, the items could be placed inside the cabinet

Eenmaal droog heb ik het tegeltableau op de kast geplakt en 

 

een kantje langs de planken en daarna konden 

 

de spullen in de kast gezet worden

It turned out just the way I wanted and will look lovely in the kitchen

Hij is helemaal naar mijn zin geworden en zal straks mooi staan in de keuken

I bought the cherry jam and the jar of Amsterdam onions 

from Freubellientje, and the jar of pickles from Art of Mini
