Dollhouse lighting in a display cabinet illuminated with LED strips / Poppenhuis verlichting in vitrinekast verlicht met LED strips

Finally, after years, something has happened in my dollhouse again!

My husband added strips of wood to the front of each shelf, 

each one a centimeter wider

Eindelijk na jaren weer eens iets gebeurd in mijn poppenhuis

Mijn man heeft latjes aan de voorkant van iedere plank gemaakt

die een centimeter breder waren

This way, the warm white LED strip could be attached to the back of the wooden strip

The strips are connected to each other with wires that had to be soldered

Hierdoor kon de warm witte LED strip aan de achterkant

tegen het latje worden geplakt

De strips zijn onderling verbonden door draad dat gesoldeerd moest worden

With a remote control, the light can be dimmed — from bright to atmospheric lighting

I got this idea after a visit to the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem,
where the dollhouse is illuminated in the same way

Met een afstandsbediening kan het licht gedimd worden

van fel naar sfeerverlichting

Ik kwam op dit idee na een bezoek aan het Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem 

waar het poppenhuis ook op die manier is verlicht

The bright light is useful when working on the dollhouse

The ambient lighting is also convenient during the day,

as it allows you to see everything much more clearly

Het felle licht is handig als er gewerkt moet worden in het poppenhuis

De sfeerverlichting is ook overdag handig want dan kun

je alles veel beter bekijken

Soon, I hope to resume construction

I’ll be fixing the interior walls, laying the floor in the attic, putting up wallpaper,

and adding beams to the ceiling

Binnenkort hoop ik de bouw weer te starten

Tussenmuren vast zetten en op zolder vloer leggen, behangen

en balken tegen het plafond maken

I’ve chosen this wallpaper for the attic:

Ik heb dit behang gekozen voor op zolder

Today, I took an overview photo to show how my dollhouse,

which I’m building inside a display cabinet, looks at the moment

The attic floor still needs a partition wall, the side walls have to

be wallpapered, and the floor needs to be glued down

After that, I can finish the front panels and connect the lighting 💡

Vandaag even een overzichtsfoto om te laten zien hoe mijn poppenhuis,

dat ik in een vitrinekast maak, er nu uitziet

De zolderverdieping moet nog een tussenmuur krijgen,

de zijwanden moeten worden behangen en de vloer nog vast gelijmd

Daarna kunnen de planken aan de voorkant afgewerkt worden

en de verlichting worden aangesloten 💡

The dollhouse bathroom is finished / De badkamer van het poppenhuis is klaar

Finally, the bathroom in the dollhouse is finished, 

and the ladies can take baths and get ready

Eindelijk is de badkamer in het poppenhuis klaar en 

 

kunnen de dames gaan badderen en tutten 

On the left is a vanity table for the ladies, and on the right

is one for the gentlemen, complete with shaving accessories

Links is een toilettafel voor de dames en rechts voor

 

de heren met scheergerei

There is also a clawfoot bathtub with a shower, 

toilet, and a double sink

Verder is er een ligbad op pootjes met douche, 

 

een toilet en een dubbele wastafel
