Art Studio *“Inspiratieloos”* in a 1:12 display box is finished / Atelier "Inspiratieloos" in een kijkkastje 1:12 is klaar

I made a miniature studio in a display box, scale 1:12.

The display box is called “Inspiratieloos” (“Out of Inspiration”)

Ik heb een atelier in een kijkkastje in schaal 1:12 gemaakt

Het kijkkastje heet "Inspiratieloos"

 

I bought the picture frames, the cat, and the beer mug

Everything else I made myself

De schilderijlijstjes, de kat en de

bierpul heb ik gekocht

De rest heb ik allemaal zelf gemaakt

There’s an empty canvas on the easel (made from wooden stirrers),
because the painter is out of inspiration for the moment

Er staat nu een leeg doek op de ezel (gemaakt van roerhoutjes) want

de schilder heeft even geen inspiratie 

The stool was originally a champagne cork

The palette is made of cardboard with some paint dabbed on it

The pot with brushes on the floor was a small cap that I filled with glue mixed with black paint

The brush handles are made from pieces of cocktail sticks

De kruk was een een champagnedop

Palet van karton en verf op gekliederd

De pot met kwasten op de grond was een dopje die ik heb gevuld met lijm

vermengd met zwarte verf 

Stukjes cocktailprikkers als stelen van de kwasten

The shelf on the wall was made from a wooden stirrer

The beer bottle was made from an empty eye drop bottle, and I added a downloaded label

Plankje aan de wand was een roerhoutje

Flesje bier gemaakt van een leeg flesje oogdruppels en etiket gedownload

In the hobby room of my dollhouse, there’s a miniature painting by Erik Meijer.

That little painting is now also hanging in the display box

 Dit schilderijtje hangt nu ook in het kijkkastje

I downloaded the paintings — they’re by the Dutch artist Erik Meijer

Cut the wooden sticks to size and glue them together in the glue tray

Once the table is assembled, you can stain or paint it

I bought an IKEA display box, and I’m going to turn it into a painter’s studio

Ik heb een IKEA kijkkastje gekocht waar ik een schildersatelier in ga maken

The display box measures 31 x 21 cm and has a glass panel that can be slid in

Het kijkkastje is 31 x 21cm en heeft glas dat je er in kunt schuiven

I downloaded the wall, floor, and a window and printed them to size

I first glued the window onto cardboard before attaching it to the wall

De muur, vloer en een raam heb ik gedownload en op maat uitgeprint

Het raam heb ik eerst op karton geplakt voordat ik het op de muur lijmde

Made a painter’s easel in 1:12 scale out of wooden stirrers / Schildersezel schaal 1:12 gemaakt van roerhoutjes

I’m going to make a studio in a display box and started by making the painter’s easel

Ik ga een atelier in een kijkkastje maken en ben begonnen met

de schildersezel te maken

You’ll need: wooden stirrers, a ruler, scissors or a sharp knife, 

glue, paint, and a small bead

Je hebt nodig: Roerhoutjes, liniaal, schaar of scherp mes, lijm, verf, kraaltje

Paint or stain the wooden stirrers in your desired color

Start by placing two full stirrers at an angle, cut the connecting pieces to size, 

and glue them in place

Then cut one stirrer straight across to the right size for the center piece

Make small holes in it about every 3 mm (by piercing or drilling) and glue it in place

Cut three sticks to the same length and glue them together in a U shape,

this will hold the painting

Cut two small pieces and glue them together

Attach them to the top of the middle stirrer and glue a bead on top

Knip 3 houtjes op dezelfde lengte af en lijm die in de vorm van een U vast

In de U vorm kan het schilderij staan

Knip 2 kleine stukjes en lijm die op elkaar

Bevestig deze op het middelste roerhoutje aan de bovenkant

 en plak er een kraal op

Glue one stirrer diagonally to the back so the easel can stand upright

Lijm een roerhoutje schuin aan de achterkant zodat de ezel kan staan

Finally, splatter or dab some paint on it
