I got in touch with a woman who lives nearby
Last week, we met for the first time, and she gave
me these beautiful miniatures
I was really surprised by all these lovely gifts!
The table lamp with the newspaper holder is a 1950s lamp,
just like the one my grandmother used to have
And the Douwe Egberts wall coffee grinder is the
same kind we had hanging in our kitchen at home

met een vrouw die dichtbij woont
Afgelopen week hebben we elkaar voor het eerst ontmoet en
kreeg ik deze prachtige miniaturen van haar
Ik werd erg verrast door al dat moois
De schemerlamp met krantenbak is een jaren 50 lamp
die mijn oma vroeger ook had
De Douwe Egberts wandkoffiemolen hadden wij
thuis in de keuken hangen
She made the little bowls herself from plaster, and I’ve
already placed a poinsettia in one of them
De schaaltjes had ze zelf van gips gemaakt en in 1
heb ik inmiddels een kerstster gemaakt
I also received some crafting materials
It’s so nice that, thanks to the internet, you can
meet new people who share the same hobby
Ook kreeg ik nog wat knutsel materiaal
Toch leuk dat je dankzij internet weer nieuwe mensen kunt
ontmoeten met dezelfde hobby
