You can save the pictures to your computer by hovering over the image

Right-click and choose “Copy image.”

Open Office Word, click inside the document, right-click again, and choose “Paste.”

 
You’ll now see your image appear

Double right-click on the image — a window with several tabs will open

Click on “Size” to change the height and width in centimeters or millimeters

This way, you can resize it to 1:12 scale or any other proportion you want

Click OK, and Word will resize your image automatically

Save, print, glue it onto sturdy paper, cut it out carefully, 

and your miniature mail is ready!

Zo kun je schaal 1:12 maken of iedere andere gewenste verhouding

Klik op oké en Word maakt je plaatje op maat

Opslaan, uitprinten, op stevig papier plakken, voorzichtig uitknippen en klaar is je post

At Xenos, I found this picture frame, which I decorated with garlands,

a lampshade, a chair, gifts, cards, a cake, and the laceleaf plant I made recently

Mangle made for the dollhouse attic laundry room 🧺/ Mangel gemaakt voor de droogzolder van het poppenhuis

I made a miniature mangle for the attic laundry room of my dollhouse,

designed by Bert Aarts

 It’s a beautifully detailed piece that adds a realistic touch

to the old-fashioned atmosphere of the laundry space!

Ik heb een miniatuur mangel gemaakt voor de droogzolder van

mijn poppenhuis die ontworpen is door Bert Aarts

After gluing the parts together, I kept everything tightly in place

with a few elastic bands — and let it dry overnight!

Een nachtje drogen met elastiekjes

The mangle was used to smooth textiles

The chest was filled with stones or sand, and by moving it back and forth,

the rollers would press over the linens placed underneath

The weight of the chest on the rollers ensured the

fabric was thoroughly smoothed out

A specially woven mangle cloth was laid over the fabric

to keep the laundry clean during the process

De mangel werd gebruikt om textiel glad te strijken

De kist was gevuld met stenen of zand

Doordat de kist heen en weer werd gehaald bewogen de rollen

over het linnengoed heen dat onder de rollen lag

Door het gewicht van de kist op de rollen werd

het textiel glad gestreken

Een speciaal geweven mangeldoek werd over het textiel

gelegd om het wasgoed schoon te houden

The first mangles had to be rolled back and forth by two people,

just like the one in the Simon van Gijn House in Dordrecht

De eerste mangels moesten door twee personen heen en

weer gerold worden zoals deze mangel in het Simon van Gijnhuis in Dordrecht

Later came the mangle with a wheel, which made

the work much less tiring and tedious

Later kwam de mangel met wiel dat het werken minder

vervelend en vermoeiend maakte

🌿 On the left you can see the plants I made myself,

 As you can see, they’re not exactly the same
