Goose board game, scale 1:12, for the dollhouse by the post / Ganzenbordje schaal 1:12 voor het poppenhuis bij de post

I saw on Helma’s blog that she had made

traditional Dutch goose board games

I wrote to her saying how much I liked the board game,

because we used to play with one back

in the day and I even still had the box

She emailed me saying she could send me a

print of the board game, as she had one extra

Ik zag bij Helma op haar blog dat ze Oud Hollandse

 

ganzenbordjes had gemaakt

Ik schreef haar dat ik het zo`n leuk ganzenbord vond

 

omdat wij daar vroeger ook mee hadden 

 

gespeeld en ik de doos zelfs nog had

Ze mailde dat ze me wel een printje van het ganzenbordje

 

wilde toesturen want ze had er nog eentje over

The mail brought a beautiful card with snowdrops,

along with the prints of the goose board game box, 

the rules, and the game board

Below you can see the large goose board,

the little goose, and the game board with the 

miniature version alongside it

De post bracht een mooie kaart met sneeuwklokjes 

 

en de printjes van de doos van het ganzenbord, 

 

de spelregels en het speelbord 

Hieronder zie je het grote ganzenbord, gansje en 

 

het speelbord met de miniatuur versie erbij

This beautiful little cushion is embroidered with silk ribbon

and will be placed on the bed in the dollhouse nursery

Dit prachtige kussentje is geborduurd met zijdelint en komt

 

in de kinderkamer van het poppenhuis op bed te liggen

The 1:12 scale laundry room in the dollhouse is now complete / De wasruimte schaal 1:12 in het poppenhuis is nu klaar

Take a closer look at the photo below, and you’ll notice

that the floor has been raised to make room for the table

 

Als je de foto hieronder vergroot zie je dat 

 

de vloer voor de tafel omhoog is gekomen

I had glued the tiled floor onto thin cardboard in the cabinet,

but it turns out I used the wrong glue!

To fix it, I carefully removed the fireplace and the partition wall,

making it much easier to lift out the floor and start fresh

Ik had de tegelvloer op dun karton in de kast gelijmd

 

maar ik denk dat ik de verkeerde lijm heb gebruikt

Ik heb de schouw en tussenmuur weggehaald om de

 

vloer makkelijker  te kunnen verwijderen

 

It took quite a bit of scraping and sanding to get rid of all the leftover bits

Then I glued the tiled floor directly into the cabinet,

and now I can only hope it stays snug and perfectly in place this time

Het was flink krabben en schuren voordat alle restjes

 

waren verwijderd

Daarna heb ik de tegelvloer rechtstreeks in de kast gelijmd 

 

en nu maar hopen dat de vloer dit keer wel strak blijft liggen

I made a cookbook stand from a kit for the kitchen of my dollhouse

Ik heb van een kit een kookboekstandaard gemaakt

 

voor de keuken van mijn poppenhuis

You have to be very careful when popping out the laser-cut pieces

and sanding them, as the material is very fragile

Then glue them according to the instructions (and optionally paint),

and you’ll have a beautiful stand for your cookbook

De gelaserde vormpjes moet je wel heel voorzichtig uitdrukken

 

en schuren want het materiaal is erg kwetsbaar

Daarna lijmen volgens de gebruiksaanwijzing (en eventueel schilderen)

 

en je hebt een mooie standaard voor je kookboek

The maids are delighted with the new racks in the 

dollhouse basement laundry room and everything is

now perfectly organized for their tiny chores!

De dienstmeisjes zijn erg blij met de rekjes voor

I crafted the tiny hooks by shortening pins and carefully gluing 

them onto a flat bead, perfect for the dollhouse laundry room

De haakjes heb ik gemaakt van ingekorte

 

knopspelden en die op een platte kraal gelijmd
