I had marbled the mantelpiece for the dollhouse
bathroom, but I wasn’t satisfied with it
Now I have painted it a solid gray and then varnished it,
so it will match the bathroom floor nicely
On this blog, you’ll find everything about dollhouses and miniatures. Op dit blog vind je alles over poppenhuizen en miniaturen.

bathroom, but I wasn’t satisfied with it

I bought a “wash dolly” for the laundry room in the dollhouse
A dolly was traditionally used to make hand washing a bit easier
It was made of wood and about 80 cm tall,
with a cross handle and “legs” at the bottom
The dolly was pushed down into the tub of washing
with a rotating motion, then pulled back up,
creating a swirling movement in the water
For the dollhouse salon, I bought a wicker Chianti
bottle and two glasses from Reutter
Chianti is a red wine from a wine-growing region of the
same name in Tuscany, south of the city of Florence in Italy
The region stretches 160 km from north to south,
making it larger than the French wine region of Bordeaux
In the 1960s, Chianti had gained a reputation as a synonym
for poor-quality wine, but today, bottled Chianti
wines have greatly improved in quality
The gentleman’s new handmade tie hangs neatly over the chair,
and his new belt lies on the floor
I made an Alice in Wonderland alphabet game from a kit by Artofmini
The game will go in the nursery of the dollhouse
